Emergency stop switches

The ED & SD emergency stop switch types are designed to quickly disconnect from the batteries or other power sources in the event of a serious electrical failure or otherwise create a dangerous situation where it is critical that the power supply is switched off quickly and safely.
These emergency stop switches are primarily designed for applications in vehicles and or machines with a battery supply. However, it is also possible to use them in application with a static power supply. All types in these two series are able to safely disconnect the main power at full load in the event of an emergency.
The ED series are manually operated switches with a simple central spring system that provides “Snap Action” both when opening and closing the main contacts.
The SD series combines functions of a manual emergency stop switch and that of a magnetic switch. The advantage of this design is that it is very compact and reduces installation costs by eliminating the need for a main current relay.
